This Privacy Policy explains what personal information VORAIR collects when you visit vorairs.com, buy from us or contact us, and what we do with it. VORAIR is based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Our store runs on Shopify.

By using our website or buying from us, you acknowledge that you have read this policy. If it conflicts with our Terms of Service, this policy controls how we handle your personal information.

At a glance

We collect what we need to take your order, deliver it and support you.
We never see or store your full card number. Payments are processed through Shopify.
We do not sell your personal information for money. You can opt out of targeted advertising at any time.
We only send marketing emails if you have agreed to receive them, and every one has an unsubscribe link.

Information we collect

Contact details: your name, billing and shipping address, phone number and email address.
Order information: what you bought, when, what you paid, and any returns, exchanges or cancellations.
Payment information: card and payment details are collected and processed by Shopify and its payment providers. We see limited details, such as the payment type and whether the payment succeeded, but not your full card number.
Account information: if you create an account, your login details and preferences.
Messages: anything you send us through our contact form or by email.
Device and usage information: your IP address, browser and device type, and how you use our site, such as pages viewed and items added to your cart. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

Where we get it

From you, when you place an order, create an account or contact us.
Automatically, through cookies and similar technologies when you use our site.
From service providers that work for us, such as Shopify, payment processors, our fulfilment partner and shipping carriers.
From advertising and analytics partners, when you interact with our ads.

How we use it

To fulfil your order: to process payment, pass your name, address and phone number to our fulfilment partner and carrier, send order and shipping updates, and handle returns and refunds.
To support you: to answer your questions and solve problems with your order.
To run and improve our store: to understand how people use the site and where it can be clearer.
For marketing: to send emails you have agreed to receive, and to show you VORAIR ads on other websites and social platforms based on your activity on our site.
For security: to detect and prevent fraud and misuse of our site.
For legal reasons: to keep tax and accounting records, comply with the law, respond to valid legal requests, and enforce our terms.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only as needed for the purposes above:

Shopify, which hosts our store and processes payments.
Our fulfilment partner and shipping carriers, who need your name, address and phone number to deliver your order.
Service providers that help us with email, customer support, analytics and IT.
Advertising and marketing partners, such as social media and search platforms, to show and measure our ads. They use your information under their own privacy policies.
Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or others.
A buyer or successor, if VORAIR is sold, merged or restructured.

Storage outside Canada

Some of our service providers store or process personal information outside Canada, including in the United States and China. Information stored in another country is subject to that country's laws, and may be accessed by its courts, law enforcement and national security authorities.

Our relationship with Shopify

Our store is hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your use of our store in order to provide and improve its services. To help protect, grow and improve our business, we use certain Shopify enhanced features that combine information from your interactions with our store, other merchants and Shopify. For these features, Shopify is responsible for processing your personal information, including responding to requests to exercise your rights. To learn more, see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep our store working, such as remembering your cart, to understand how the site is used, and for advertising. You can manage cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may stop parts of the store, such as the cart and checkout, from working.

Marketing emails

We send marketing emails only with your consent, as required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every marketing email, or by contacting us. We will still send you emails about orders you have placed.

Your privacy choices and targeted advertising

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for targeted advertising, as those terms are defined in some privacy laws. You can do this on our Your Privacy Choices page.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out request for that browser and device. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

Tell you what personal information we hold about you, and give you a copy
Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
Delete your information, unless we must keep it for legal reasons such as tax records
Transfer your information to you or to another organisation, where the law allows
Withdraw consent you have given, such as consent to marketing emails

To make a request, email vorairsca@gmail.com. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on it. You may use an authorised agent, but we will ask for proof that you authorised them. We will respond within the time required by law, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

How long we keep it

We keep order and transaction records for as long as tax law requires, which in Canada is generally six years. We keep other personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, then delete or anonymise it.

Security

We rely on Shopify's security measures and limit who can access your information. No website or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee perfect security. Please do not send sensitive information, such as card numbers, by email.

Children

Our store is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority where they live. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it. We do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

Third-party websites

Our site may link to websites we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own, so please review their policies before sharing information with them.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or to the privacy regulator where you live.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices or to the law. When we do, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
